Weekly Round Up

Dear Resident

Here is a round-up of what has been happening in Willenhall South, New Invention, and Short Heath over the last week.

Patrols conducted around Cannon Street, Cemetery Road, Rosehill and Orchard Close due to reports of drug dealing.

We have been continuing with our patrols in Western Avenue, Willenhall Town Centre and Mcdonald’s.  We have not had any further reports this week.

We conducted a knife sweep with a metal detector in Willenhall Memorial Park, happy to say no knives or weapons were found. 

1 x male was arrested for 3 shop thefts

1 x male was arrested for using counterfeit notes

1 x male arrested for possession of knife and shop thefts

1 x male arrested for 4 shop thefts and 1 house burglary

1 x male arrested for failing to appear

1 x wanted male arrested for 4 offences including harassment, stalking and making threats  

1 x young male was stopped and cautioned for possession of cannabis

1 x warning letter was issued to a youth causing issues on the Brackendale shopping Centre

2 x warning letters issued for the ASB at Mcdonald’s. 

1 x stolen vehicle from Staffordshire was recovered in Willenhall

Reassurance visits at Children’s homes in New Road, Banks Street and Sandbeds Road. 

Next week 

08/03/26 - Street watch and litter pick with the Willenhall Wombles in Stroud Avenue. Meet at the Brackendale Shops in Stroud Avenue at 10.00. Local Councillors will also be attending, please come along this is open to all residents to walk, talk and litter pick.

10/03/26 – Police Surgery at The Hive, New Invention

Walsall Response Officers arrested a male for cultivation of cannabis, 50 plants found inside a property. 1 x young male was arrested for possession of a knife.
